This project focused on building a complete billing and payment automation flow by integrating Salesforce with Stripe. The goal was to demonstrate how businesses can manage their entire quote-to-cash journey within Salesforce while using Stripe for secure payment processing and subscription management.
The implementation started with aligning product and pricing data between Salesforce and Stripe. Products and pricebook entries created in Salesforce were automatically synced to Stripe, ensuring consistency across both systems without manual effort. This removed the need for teams to manage billing configurations separately and reduced the chances of errors.
Once a quote was approved, the system automatically generated a Stripe checkout session with all relevant details such as products, pricing, and billing type. This allowed sales teams to instantly share a secure payment link with customers, supporting both one-time payments and recurring subscriptions.
To ensure accuracy and continuity, customer data was intelligently identified and synced between Salesforce and Stripe using contacts, opportunities, and account relationships. This ensured that every payment was correctly linked to the right customer without requiring manual intervention.
The integration also handled real-time updates from Stripe using webhook events. Payment confirmations and subscription updates were automatically reflected in Salesforce, allowing teams to track revenue, payment status, and customer lifecycle without switching systems.
Overall, this solution provided a scalable and automated billing foundation, reduced manual effort, improved data visibility, and enabled businesses to manage payments and subscriptions directly within Salesforce.
